With the worsening water shortage crisis in Kabul, the large-scale water transfer project from Qargha Dam to the Polytechnic University reservoir to provide clean water to 70,000 residents of Kabul was inaugurated. Senior government officials announced at the inauguration ceremony of the project that the Islamic Emirate has a serious determination to manage the country’s surface waters to prevent the water shortage crisis.
