Officials of the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriates Affairs announced that so far about six million Afghan refugees have been displaced in foreign countries and another two and a half million people have been displaced inside the country. They also added that during the last six months, nearly two million refugees have returned to the country from different countries and over the past year, 420,000 returnee families in need have been provided with assistance. According to officials, the construction of 38 refugee settlements in 29 provinces of the country has been put on the agenda and the construction of 9 settlements has already begun.
