Economic and Security Outlook of Trilateral Kabul M Regional Connectivity and Tension Management Focus of Talks

A trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Afghanistan, China and Pakistan was held in Kabul on Wednesday (August 20); a meeting that, according to international relations experts, its main goals are economic development, strengthening regional connectivity and managing political and security tensions between the three countries. Experts believe that the special focus of these talks is on infrastructure projects, including the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and possibly linking Afghanistan to this regional mega-project.
