Truck congestion at Torkham cr 14 hours allocated for perishable goods

The Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment has announced that following the increase in congestion at the Torkham crossing, it has been agreed to allocate 14 hours out of 24 hours daily for the passage of trucks carrying perishable goods such as fruits and vegetables. Officials of this organization say that due to security and ethnic problems at the Ghulam Khan and Dandpatan borders, traffic on these routes has decreased and as a result, trucks that previously went to Pakistan through these borders have now flocked to Torkham.
