The plan, which is expected to last about four months, will begin its first phase with the establishment of humanitarian camps in the southern Gaza Strip and will include a massive evacuation of residents, a ground assault, a gradual occupation of the city and continued aerial bombardment. This controversial decision was made while hundreds of thousands of Zionists have protested against the war and the delay in returning prisoners from Gaza.
